|Lucky. When Redcloak rolls a 1 on an attack roll, ability check or saving throw, he can reroll the die and must use the new roll.|
|Lucky Bone Dice. Wondrous Item, Uncommon (Requires Attunement). These magical bone dice always roll the number desired by the thrower, granting Advantage on all Ability check rolls involving the rolling of dice. Also, an attuned character may use the power of the dice as a Luck Point (as if the character possessed the Lucky Feat – PHB167). If the character already has the Lucky feat, these points stack – giving the character 4 luck points instead fo the normal 3. If the dice are used this way, however, the magic is lost until after the character finishes a long rest.|
Democratically elected by the crew of the Redemption, which is more of a pirate ship (privateers contracted by the City Navy of Waterdeep), Captain Foxe is a rigid and upright man. Hale and hardy, but surprisingly slow to comprehend anything new, Captain Foxe is unbelievably lucky.
He constantly fidgets with his “lucky dice,” a pair of bone dice he carries in a leather pouch at his belt (when he isn’t fondling them).
For all his ability to lead and command, Captain Foxe is rude – prone to foul humor and exceedingly uncouth. He’s also an idealist: believing that no one should have external limits set for them, and that the pursuit of the greater good is the way to achieving purpose in life.
Foxe is protective of his crew above all else, though he is also prone to fits of rage (a character trait he tries to hide from the world – often seething quietly and excusing himself from the eyes of his peers).
